2010 TRAIN SHOW

    HISTORY

The Best Friend Model Train Show began in 1999 as an endeavor by local model train enthusiasts to provide a venue for displaying traveling stock and marketing items related to model railroading.  Under the leadership of Carl Blum the show has grown to wide acceptance throughout South Carolina and beyond.  The displays range from the sophisticated  to the frivolous.  The main display hall plays host to our resident Lionel experts, Thomas the Tank dealer and other vendors, as well as rolling layouts of trains in various gauges from N Gauge to O and S Gauge and G Gauge.  In past years, the display of Thomas the Tank has been chased around the tracks by the "Lady Bug Express," much to the delight of children and parents alike.  We will again have Lionel's 2007 limited edition of the Best Friend of Charleston on display.
Make your reservations early for the  Annual Best Friend Model Train Show.  As the leadership of the show is passed to Mary Lehr, plans are being formulated for new advertising and revamping of some of the current features of the show.  Look for upcoming announcements regarding new offerings at the show for increasing the enjoyment potential for vendors and displayers.  We will be visiting other model railroad shows over the coming year to meet new vendors and model train fans attending the shows.
