This document is a compilation of data primarily for railroads in the South Carolina Lowcountry, especially the Charleston, SC area and the "Best Friend" train, but some other railroads are included.  It is being compiled by members of the Charleston Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society, with the help of others.  Its primary use will be to provide documentation which will indicate what information is available and where it may be obtained.
